The Pilcrow Lit Fest is this weekend.  I'm all over the place, and stoked.  

Dig this.  Why isn't it common sense for the people who provide the nonrenewable energy to transition over to the renewable stuff?

I have a cousin who happens to be a  painter.  She's got a myspace page with all the info.  I think we'll be running into each other in a few weeks, so maybe I'll get something to put in the next place.  Check her out and get in touch if you want some dope equine art.  

Awareness & Productivity

Though I'm now officially unemployed, every day seems unavoidably fully of things that are getting done.  Yesterday, it was moving the crystalized honey from the little plastic bear to a jar so it could be heated/de-crystalized. See:

Also on the menu was replacing the rear braka cylinder.  It went bad last year, and was dealt with among other things.  This time, rather than rebuilding the old one because of a mis-match of threads between the brakeline and the cylinder, the replacement that came happened to fit.  Here's the little angry beast:

Even though I did this with pop last year, I got a pretty neat little refresher from John Twist via his youtube posts from his shop.  I really wish a dope Vespa shop was doing similar clips to help me with that project--which is on hold until I'm hired somewhere.  Maybe.  I don't know.  I had an itch today to take that whole thing apart today to put in a new quadrant.  Plus, having it not-done is making me leave tools in the garage that should be in the back of my car.  

Lovely distractions.

Ahh...nothing like fresh ink under a layer of witch hazel.  

Speaking of which, my wonderful artist, Ms. Sunday of Lark Tattoo will  be representing at the NYC Tattoo Convention in the Roseland Ball Room, on May 16th.  Full details are over here.

New tires for the MG today.  And the latest "last of the vespa parts" should arrive too.  Looking forward to looking forward to that. 

I found this blog the other day, and it's kinda neat.  It seems to be an Engadget for environmentalist drivers.  This is the site where, if you look around, you can find the awesome people who mess with hybrids by installing lithium ion batteries and plugs and don't burn a drop of fuel for 60 miles, only to then get 128 mpg as they take long trips. Right?  Yeah.

By the by, last week was graduation.  I think I'm officially MFA-ed now.  And definitely unemployed for the next few minutes.  I think I'm gonna be come a locksmith.
